I haven't played anything seriously for more than a week now. What's up with me? lol
Music:
Band...meh. Choir...a lot worse than yesterday. Just seems like I couldn't focus today. I hope tomorrow is different. Listened to a little Boston and Queen today. I've enjoyed hearing some Beatles songs played songs on American Idol, and it was interesting hearing "Feeling Good" on both American Idol and The Olympics tonight. XD
Personal Life:
So, my attempt to start loosing weight has begun today. Step one, and one I feel is important, is limiting how much I eat when I get home everyday. Calories totaled 550, which looks bad to me, but at least I'm paying attention now. Once I switch to something healthier than Sunkist, it should go down to about 300~400 which should be much better. It was tough limiting myself so much, but it's all a matter of self-control, which is really what I'm trying to improve rather than losing weight. I probably decimated all of my progress though by having two country fried steaks tonight though. Oh well, tomorrow shall be better.
A day of self improvement. Not bad at all. ^_^

550 calories? as in, that's how much you ate TODAY? i hope that was a mis-type. i love sunkist too -- have you tried diet sunkist? i like it & you'd be surprised at how many cals you can cut out just by switching from regular soda to diet soda. okay, i'll stop acting like i know what i'm talking about now. xD

Oh no, I was talking about just this afternoon. lol I'd have to be crazy to aim that low for one whole day, especially just starting out. I'm trying to aim for the 1,200 a day thing, but not knowing how many are in the lunchroom's food ruins just about any plan. I've tried diet sunkist, but it's been a long time. I was thinking of switching to lemonade, but with all the sugar, I just don't know. I'll look into it.
ReplyDeleteoh, you'd be crazy to aim for that ANY day. and actually, 1200 a day is way too low for a male -- that's what the average adult female needs to eat to lose 2 pounds a week. i think guys are supposed to eat 2000 cals or above. you ought to search it, though, because 1200 is what i am for, and i'm usually above it.
ReplyDeletealso, just search what the food is in the lunchroom on a diet-website & it'll give you as close as an estimate as you can get. however, if you wanna be cool, you can always bring your lunch -- that way you know what you're eating! :)

Don't stop! This info is valuable to me if I'm going to get anywhere with this. 1200 is a little low for a male, but you have to consider that I do next to no physical activity, so aiming a little low is best for the situation until I can get some exercise equipment that can accommodate my weight, or heaven forbid, I go outside for once. XD I've tried taking my lunch to school before, but it just doesn't work. I'd probably waste to much time in the shower, as I usually do, and not have time prepare something most of the time. Then I wouldn't have any idea what to take and probably bring something that's less healthy than the lunchroom's food. Finding some website with lunchroom info would be pretty convenient. I'll have to see if I can find anything.
ReplyDeleteokay, just trust me on this, 1200 is crazy. i promise. in fact, i have a link that might help: http://www.losertown.org/eats/cal.php it's a "calorie maintenance calculator" -- it'll tell you how much weight you'll gain/lose according to the calories you eat & the activity you do. it's not perfect, but it's handy.
ReplyDeletei pack my lunch the night before & store it in the fridge, unless it's a sandwich or something. wake up 10 minutes earlier & that should be plenty of time. i can help you out with lunch ideas that are healthier than lunchroom food, & i promise the ideas aren't just salad. :)
All right, all right. I've been ranging around 1600 anyway. This maintenance calculator is telling be that I will lose about 3 pounds a week if I continue what I'm doing. It offers hope at least. XD It's also telling me that I must've been eating about 3200 a day to be where I'm at. :/ I really don't plan to start bringing my my lunch, but I'll take whatever advice you can give me.
